ESSENE GARDEN OF PEACE:
AN ESSENE COOPERATIVE COMMUNITY



Dear Ones,

I hereby announce the beginning of a new project: The founding of an Essene Cooperative Community called, ESSENE GARDEN OF PEACE. I will provide some background information, AND WILL THEN INVITE YOU TO BLESS OUR EFFORT BY MAKING A SPECIAL DONATION TO OUR LAND FUND.

BACKGROUND: Over twenty years ago, at age 18, I helped an elderly Essene Master form an Essene monastic community on 35 acres of Eden-like land in the mountains east of San Diego. Using recycled materials, we built a dozen cabins and other buildings. We grew organic vegetable gardens and planted a fruit orchard. I lived there for seven years, studying the Essene teachings with the elderly Essene Master. He prepared me for my mission: the founding of Essene Church of Christ. On that land, we created a true HEAVEN ON EARTH. But we didn't own the land. After seven years of bliss, the land we lived on was sold by the owner to a development corporation. They evicted us, tore down the dozen cabins we had built, uprooted our fruit orchard and destroyed our gardens. They then built an apartment building! (Like the song says, "They take paradise, and put up a parking lot") My teacher, noticing my sadness, smiled and said:

"This is not the end of ESSENE GARDEN OF PEACE. In another place, when the time is right, you and a select group of friends will resurrect ESSENE GARDEN OF PEACE."

For me, that time has come. I am now forming that "select group of friends" and starting a land fund. This time,

WE WILL "OWN" THE LAND!

To be considered, one must have completed our home-study Essene Ministerial Training Course and demonstrated his/her dedication to our church. Whether or not you wish to live there, YOU CAN BLESS OUR EFFORT BY MAKING A DONATION TODAY TOWARD OUR PURCHASE OF LAND.
